Calvià is a picturesque village nestled at the bottom of the Tramuntana mountain range, with a rich history dating back from 2000 BCE.
The village is very popular amongst both locals and international people. Every Monday morning you can buy local products at the street market where over 60 stands offer goods such as fruits, vegetables, cheeses, olives, bakery goods, clothes, and handicrafts. Other restaurants, shops, and cafés are open daily and are often frequented by both locals and visitors.

The houses in Calvià are mostly traditional stone houses with orchards and fields and it is rare to see any high buildings. Although the beautiful historical church, which is in front of a lovely park with stunning views over the village and all the way to the sea, stands out with its majestic hight. The local school is also found in front of this park.
The town also hosts the town hall for the entire municipality of Calvià, which ranges from coastal Cas Catalá in the far east, to Andratx in the west, and the stunning mountain and forest-area Galatzó in the north of the municipality.
The closest beach is in popular Palmanova, which is reached by car in 15 minutes and Palmas city centre is only 25 minutes away.
A very charming village with all amenities within easy reach, perfect for out door sports such as hiking and biking and people who want to enjoy the authentic Majorcan village life.
